Grouting Tile Very important thing is to wait for the tile adhesive (mortar) to dry properly. Usually it takes about 24 hours, depending on moisture in the air and floor it might take even more. There are two different basic types of grout: Sanded and Non-Sanded. We can separate Epoxy Grout from this two kinds because of its special purpose and use...
- Sanded grout has sand added for strength and durability. It is mainly used for joints wider than 1/16" or even 1/8", like larger tile on floors.
- Non-sanded grout is usually mixed with an additive to make it stronger, durable and more workable. It is mainly used for joints less than 1/16", like for smaller wall, backsplash and countertop tiles.
